The Ride

The main event is the M2M Gravel Enduro Race held on Saturday, September 26. The ride features a 52-mile redesigned and challenging race course. The four timed stages known as Hough-N-Puff, Flying Squirrel, Rouler's Revenge and Smokechaser offer a little something for all riders. There is also a 34 mile non-competitive ride called M2M-34 with the same first three timed stages. You can expect delicious food all day along with the most memorable aid stations a bike race can have. You’ll finish with a smile on your face. But the fun does not stop there! Post-race live music, awards, games, food trucks and so much more will be waiting for you back at the fairgrounds. We hope everyone will get down and boogie!

What Bike to Use

So, now that you know what the stages have to offer, the choice is yours. What bike to ride? What gearing to use? What’s the best tire setup? These are all decisions that you will have to make before lining up in Quincy. Either play to your strengths or to try to limit your losses by making these important strategic choices.

We recommend at least 40mm wide tires for gravel bikes (like the WTB Nano 40mm) or riding a light, fast rigid mountain bike with 2.0 tires wouldn’t be a bad choice either, especially if you are more comfortable on a mountain bike. The only solid gear selection that we are sure you will appreciate no matter what your other choices are, is a low enough gear to get you up the steepest sections of the route. We recommend a minimum one-to-one low gear or even a couple teeth below one-to-one.

One thing for sure... bring extra tubes!

Ride Start Time

8:00am M2M Village

All riders will begin as a neutral mass rollout directly from M2M Village (Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds) at 8:00am. Be aware of cut off times on course. The ride will be held rain, shine, sleet or snow. In the event of extreme weather or natural disaster, the ride may be shortened, postponed or canceled without refund.

Cut-Off Times

If at anytime an STBS staff member, or a member of the emergency response team, determines a rider is physically unable to complete the event within the allotted timeframe. You must accept a ride back to M2M Village at Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds.

The awards ceremony for the M2M Gravel Enduro will recognize the top three M2M-52 finishers by category as well as the fastest overall of each stage. Pro Men and Women will each be racing for a cash purse. All other categories will be racing for podium awards from our great sponsors. Many will choose to ride rather than race and take advantage of the views and the libations. Awards will take place in the evening prior to live music.
